Bruce Rossmeyer died in a motorcycle accident in Wyoming on the Eve of Sturgis - 2009. He was the owner of Daytona Harley Davidson. Soon after I came to Daytona Bruce acquired the Dodge dealership here. The dealership was in an old building on North Beach Street. Bruce built a new facility on International Speedway Boulevard out near the Speedway. He retired from the automotive business and became the local Harley Dealer. He built a major dealership on the mainland just across the bridge from Main Street. He brought the bikeweek party across the river and promoted entertainment on the city property across the street from the dealership. He later developed Destination Daytona at the intersection of US 1 and I-95. The most recent contact that I had with Bruce was the fundraiser for Camp Bogey Creek, a camp for disadvantaged children. This was just one of Bruce's philanthropic interests. He will be missed in this community.

Did you shop at Daytona Harley Davidson?
